Long VarChar

When using a Long VarChar do you need to place that into a Long Tablespace or would a regular tablespace work?

I'm working in the Windows Ver 8 of DB2 and using DMS tablespaces.

It seems that I have managed to create it in a table that only has a regular tablespace defined for it.

I would think you would want it to go into a Long tablespace so it wouldn't get buffered.

Thanks for any help.
