Hi,

I am a beginner with DB2 database.

I am trying to perform an online backup of my database on Windows XP.
I have installed DB2 v8.1.7.445

The error I receive is
SQL2048N An error occurred while accessing object "8". Reason code: "6".

I have looked at the reason code 6 which indicates that one of my tablespaces is in such a state that the operation is not allowed.
Or
one of the containers in the tablespace is not available.

I did list tablespaces show detail etc but any further assistence
to diagnose on the cause/fix will be appreciated.
