Error starting db2 8.1 on windows xp

I have this error when i try to start db2 (8.1 enterprise edition) as a service
DB2 - DB2-0 could not be started , service specific error code 1042

But the rest of the services are started.
DB2 Licience Server
Db2 Remote Command Server
DB2 Security Server.
Db2DAS Security Server.

And when i open my eventview to have a look,
It's say:
The DB2 - DB2-0 service terminated with service-specific error 4294966254 (0xFFFFFBEE).

Any idea what is going on? I am using windows xp professional edition

See if this helps:

Quote:
SQL1042C An unexpected system error occurred.

Explanation:

A system error occurred. One possible reason for this error is that the database manager is not installed correctly or the environment is not set up correctly.

On OS/2, while trying to start the database manager, a very common reason for this error is a corrupted NET.ACC file.

The command cannot be processed.

User Response:

If the error occurred on OS/2 while trying to start the database manager, and the NET.ACC file is suspected, replace the NET.ACC files on the system with those on diskette 1 of the DB2 for OS/2 installation diskettes.

If the error occurred while trying to connect to a database, get a trace (instructions below) and call IBM support.

If the problem falls outside of the above suggestions, ensure that the system time and date is correctly set, and make sure your system has enough memory and swapping/paging space available.

Resubmit the current command.

If the error continues, stop the database manager and restart it.

If the error still continues, reinstall the database manager.

But if you restart the server, it goes away, right?

Have you done a db2schema.bnd?

(Yeah, I know this is an old post, but I'm looking for answers, too.)
