Assigning DB2 DBA for UNIX to DB2 DBA for OS/390

Hi DB2 gurus,

Can you please answer these questions. Your inputs are greatly appreciated.

1. Is it possible to assign a DB2 DBA experienced in UNIX to DB2 DBA for Mainframe (03/390).

2. If it is , do they need to learn some tools?

Regards,
db2guy

Probably not a good idea, unless they already know the OS/390 operating system (JCL, TSO, etc), and they also get some training (or they read the Administration and Utility manuals in before doing anything).
