remove db2 commponent selectively

How to remove only some component
i.e. only remove development client etc..?
db2_deinstall have any parameter to only remove the subset of installation not the whole installation ?

This is on AIX 5.x for db2 8.x
Can anyone guide if they have done this before ?

Thanks !

I used db2_deinstall to deinstall some products from my test box, and what it did remove my udb binaries and the information integrator. It just start removing every db2* package it find. What is odd is that I uses the db2_deinstall of II. It happened to me with different combination of db2 binaries.

regards & thanks,

Mujeeb
