About DB2Diag.Log (Too big)

Hi All:
Our DB2Diag.Log file is too big by now.

1) Is there a formal method to backup it and clean it (or re-generate)
or is as simple as copy it into another file (i.e. DBDiag.old) and create
another new with NotePad, with the same name?

2) If it's so, which are the pre-tasks / post-tasks we sholud perform:
(i.e.: disconnect apps, stop db, re-start db, etc.), after and before
doing that procedure.

Thanks...

Just rename the file and then zip/tar it up. No need to create a new one, DB2 will do that for you.
