DB2/Connect and DB2/OS390 Compatibility
I am currently running DB2/Connect V7 Extended Edition in both the UNIX and Windows environments to allow acess to data on DB2 for OS390 (V6) on our mainframe.

I am looking at migrating DB2/OS390 Version 6 to Version 8. Can anyone tell me if DB2/Connect V7 is compatible with DB2/OS390 V8 or will I need to upgrade DB2/Connect to V8.1 or V8.2 as well?

Not sure about compatibility, but I do know DB2 Connect V7 went unsupported at the end of September.

we are using db2 connect v8 fixpack 5 for connectivity to mainframe
ver7 with no problem
