DB2 Client fail

Hello:

I have a problem with the DB2 Client (Administration Client and Runtime Client) when I try to connect to a DB2 8.1 installed on a LINUX RedHat server.

The DB2 Client is installed in a Windows Systems with SP2 and the error codes that the Client report are: CCA1004I and CCA3061E, I think that the problem may be caused by by the SP2 on Windows by i'm not sure.

I need to know if you have knowledge about this error and how to solve it??

Regards

CCA1004I means no DB2 system was found on the network.
CCA3061 means incomplete server configuration.

have you CATALOG the node and database properly?

if you are using XP sp2, check your firewall. firewall is enabled by default when you install sp2 on Windows XP

Have you checked your Discover, Discover_Inst, Discover_DB enabled at the Server. Set your Db2COMM variable to TCPIP, check your port number in the services file.

Now in the WINDOWS machine Catalog the Server Node with proper IP Address and Server Machine Name.

check the "CATALOG TCPIP ..." command.

Now you catalog your database at that node.

You shouldnot face this problem again.
