UDB Engine Optimizer and APPEND ON

Has anyone defined tables with APPEND ON and seen a difference in a plan's access path with that option?

New rows will always be inserted at the end of the table when APPEND is on. I don't think it will affect anything else.

Thanks, Marcus. I understood what APPEND ON does. It's just that I'm grasping at straws since I've seen a change in access path (before and after from db2expln) and trying to figure out what changed that might have caused the change.
