Problem seeing databases after going 8.1 Enterprise Trial to 8.2 WSE full

Hey all,

I had a db2 8.1 enterprise trial install which just expired today, after uninstalling and installing the full version of 8.2 WSE I can't see the old instances/databases anymore. I also can't manage to restore the backups of those databases.

Can anyone tell me how to get it to see the DB's that are there or failing that performing a restore from the backups?

Cheers

uninstall and reinstall

After uninstall and reinstall DB2, you can't view the old instance.
But, if you have install the new version on the old version you can migrate
the old instance and the old das env, by using 'db2iupdt -e' and
'dasupdt' command from new db2 installation path.

wse

just create the new instance
find the db with db2 list db directory on /xx/xx
wherever you cataloged/created the old database
you can do : db2 catalog db xxx on /xxx/xxx
this will make the db visible again
