replication

yes, dataprop and replication is the same
no license is needed, this feature is in base code supplied..
capture and apply can be started on this platform
see "sql replication guide" in db2 doc that will explain the complete setup
first time ? try a simple replication first

thanks for reply!
So, 'sql rep' used to be called dataprop in earlier version ? ( 7 and pre 8.x ?)
what type of work is involved,is it complex ?
There are some new type of replication is also available as i was reading some manual .Is it differnt than dataprop ?
Thanks!

replication

if the mechanism has been understood = not difficult - just setup problems are most of the time obstacles.
in 8.2 q replication has been announced instead of sql replication
this is done with websphere MQ
this for high volume replication
If any specific question/problem with replication : please request or email
