Content Manager Upgrade/Migrate

Hello, I'm running Content Manager 7 with a library server and an object server on an AIX 4.3 machine. I want to backup and restore it to an AIX 5.2 machine and then upgrade to CM 8. Is this possible? Or is there any other way to bring CM7 to CM8 to another system?

Should I clone the AIX 4.3 server, bring it to the new machine and then upgrade?

Thanks in advance, this might be a toughie.
