About Upgrading Clients.

Hi:
We have recently migrated our WSE from UDB 8.1 to 8.2 (latest fixpack) on
Windows 2000 Server, in a lab-testing environment.

We have some win32 clients connecting to DB2 through ODBC data sources. My question is: Do I strictly need to migrate those clients (Administration Client) from V8.1 to V8.2 too.?

Thanks in advance...

You are not required to upgrade the client when you upgrade the server from 8.1 to 8.2, but you may need to do a remote bind of the client utilities/programs one time for each unique version/fixpak/operating system level of your clients. You can do this with the Configuration Assistant on the client.

It is better if you do it ... Though it is a minor release number wise (ie 8.1 to 8.2), technically this is a major release ...
Cheers
