No memory available in the application heap

Hi all,

Iam using db2 8.1.4 on solaris 5.9 and iam getting the following error
DIA8301C No memory available in the application heap.

I have increased APPLHEAPSZ db cfg parameter and forced all the applications which are using that databse, but still iam having the same problem.

Can anyone tell why iam still getting the same error...

Thanks in advance......

Hi,

General rule about application heap: double it! If problem persist: double it! Still problem: double it!

Hope this helps,

When you read the documentation on configuration parameters you'll notice that some of them (eg diaglevel) have a Parameter Type of Configurable Online. If it doesn't have that magic word "online" it means a new value only takes effect after an instance bounce.
