DB2 Connect

Hi,

I know by installing 'DB2 Connect' on my AIX box I can access a Db2 database present on a Mainframe system.

My question is:

After I connect to this database on Mainframe system can I run DDL statements for creation of the database, tablespaces, tables, indexes and also Stored Procedures. Will it work? Or I can only access data on the database and not create data objects.

Please clarify..

We would be using Mainframes z/os 1.6 and DB2 v7.1 for Mainframes..

Divakar

You would be able to create DB2 objects on host (Mainframe) using DB2 connect in your AIX/Linux box.
