DB2 V8 FixPack9

Hi,
Should we update the DB2 instance in Windows , after applying fixpack9. In Unix We have to , but in Windows Is it a must if so why ?

Since you can only have one version of DB2 on a Windows machine, then DB2 udpates the instance(s) for you when a fixpack is installed.
