EBCDIC to ASCII at SELECT level

In a DB2 OS/390 7.1.1, it's possible to change the encoding from EBCDIC to ASCII at SELECT level?, like SQL Server with the COLLATE clause can?. I mean, something similar to

SELECT f1 COLLATE Latin1_General_CS_AI FROM t1

Thanks in advance
