connection timeout

Hi All !

My machine that has a DB2 UDB 8.1 Client is configured to connect to many databases.
However, in some cases, even I do not perform any activity, my connection does not time out until I issue a CONNECT RESET. Whereas, in some cases the connections are lost after some time of inactivity.
It sounds like there is a parameter on the database server that determines the duration of a connection in case of inactivity.
Which parameter is it ?

Thanks
Anil

All the database are DB2 UDB version 8.1.1 on Solaris

Are you connection through some application e.g. java, VB etc. or one of DB2 supplied tools e.g. CLP, Command centre/window?
