Connecting to another UDB database

Hi , Could you please let me know if there is a way to connect to another DB2 database in a stored procedure ( like insert data into another database table ) . WIll this need additional software ?

Look up "federated database" in the manuals.

IIRC, federated databases cannot be involved in a 2phase commit, ie , you cannot update a federated database table and a local table in the same transaction.
