Question Date arithmetic operations..

is there any DATE arithmetic functions to add or subtract days to a date(TIMESTAMP) variable or column.

yes, if the column is a DATE or TIMESTAMP simply code:

SELECT column-name + 1 DAY
FROM ...


or
SET column-name = CURRENT DATE + 1 MONTH ...
