Does db2drdat trace data stream for every user?

Hi All,
Although the book says db2drdat "Allows the user to capture the DRDA data stream exchanged between a DRDA Application Requestor (AR) and the DB2 UDB DRDA Application Server (AS)" , it actually captures data stream from local users, not only DRDA users. The cmd I used is:
db2drdat on -r -s;
db2drdat off -t=drdat.log;

Am I misunderstanding the concept of DRDA? Thanks for advice.
