Has anyone in forum used DB2AUDIT utility.
I need information about when my db2 objects were last reffered.
Is in any way db2audit is helpful and solve the purpose.
Appreciate any sort of help on this.

Or is there any other way i can find out the requisite info.

I am using db2 v8 fp2 on AIX 5.

Can you let u know why you want to know the last referred time of a table ?

we are updating all stats on a devlopment server and need to know which tables are never being or when for last time were reffered.So that we can omit them and also it will be helpfull in our other process of replications of tables under new instances....

If you are concerned with running RUNSTAT/REORG you can use the LIST HISTORY command for RUNSTAT/REORG. It will tell you when the tables were UPDATED in terms of statistics.

Well jayant, i need to know when was the object used for any select,insert etc purpose..which i cannot find in the list history command option.
Do have any idea how to go about it and finding out the requisite info...

I am going thru DB2AUDIT facility ..hope will conclude any substantial solution..

Db2audit solved the purpose..but unfortunately it will give me the required info after starting the db2audit facility.That means henceforth i can find when was select etc done on my table last time.

IMHO, you should be using table event monitor ... This will give you a list of all tables that were referenced since the last activation of the database ..
