Hi All !

The admin guide for DB2 for z/OS has a detailed description of the stage 1 and stage 2 predicates. Most importantly, there is a table that list all the stage1 and stage2 predicates.
However, the admin guide for DB2 on AIX (or any of the LUW) just has little mention of predicate terminology and mentions little bit of how sargable predicates (stage 1) and residual predicates (stage 2) work.
I was wondering if there is a document that has all the sargable predicates and residual predicates. Similar to the Table 91. Predicate types and processing (Programming for DB2, DB2 UDB for z/OS Version 8 manuals).

Can someone comment if the explaination for predicate processing applies to both - DB2 on z/OS and DB2 for LUW. Or is it different ?

There are some predicates mentioned in the online docs which explain the SQL optimizer at http://tinyurl.com/z5n9l , maybe this will show you what you want to know.
