RAID 0 for Tempspace filesystem ?

DB2 LUW Version 8.x on Solaris ..

The data and index tablespaces (both DMS) are created in a filesystem on RAID 5 disks ... The temp tablespaces also sit on RAID 5 disks ..

This is a Datawarehouse and HA is not very critical .

As the data redundancy requirements for temspaces is minimal, I'm thinking about recommending RAID 0 disks for temp tablespaces - so the write performance will be much better ,,,

Any pitfalls ? or any thoughts ?

Sathyaram
