Question driver type for db1 8.2
how to know driver type 2 or 4 used in db2.as i am using db2 8.2 .
pls message me ..urgent as i am connecting to websphere express 6.0 driver type 4 is not connecting but 2 is connecting

look at this doc :

you can see the syntax for connect type 2 - 4
with type 4 no db2 client is needed, so the database has to be identified with host/port as for type2 the db2 client knows the defined database
