Error Message in Diaglog

Hi,

We are using DB2 V8.1 fixpack7 on SuSE 9.0. As a part of monitoring validation, we are running "db2 connect" command once every 5 mins on the database. We have been running this check for the last 18months without any issues. But off late, we have been observing the following in the db2diag.log:

2006-09-14-05.35.02.856468-420 E259948G430 LEVEL: Error (OS)
PID : 23639 TID : 1095529536 PROC : db2
INSTANCE: db2inst1 NODE : 000
FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, oper system services, sqloMLNique, probe:7
CALLED : OS, -, unspecified_system_function OSERR: EACCES (13)
RETCODE : ZRC=0x0000000D=13
DIA8013C Improper NULL output as host variable is "", the SQL
statement is "".

The error message appears just once or twice in a day creating an instance down false alarm.

I looked at the documention and the error code says permission denied. I couldn't find anything else on this. Is this some kinda symptom that I should be worried about?

It Will be of great help if anyone can throw some pointers.

Thanks

- RajYM

My guess would be that the prereqs of DB2 against the underlying operating system are not met.
