Your OS, db2 version, appl software, what operation gives this error etc, etc

when i add new conection in database in DB2 in Delphi 8 and try to conect to new databazase delphi givme this error

so, let's start again
what type of connection do you use :
do you have a db2 client installed or just drivers
if db2 client : have you cataloged the node/db
can you connect from a command window
if this info is provided we go to the next step..

you have db2 express installed
are you trying the connect from instance owner - from client - other user ??
we can not guess what is going on ....
