db2 7.2.5 to db2 8.2 conversion
Hi

We use db2 7.2.5 on windows 2000.

Is there any good reference doc for converting from db2 7.2.5 to db2 8.2. We are bit concerned as our production database is in excess of 40 GB.

You can look at the manuals at:

In particular, look at the Quick Beginnings for DB2 Servers, there is a Migration section.

Have you considered DB2 9 ...

DB2 8.2 will go out of support shortly .. I assume in about 12-18 months

The Migration Guide for V9 clearly states that they have to migrate to 8.x first. Then they can migrate to V9.
