DB2 Security in Windows

I am the lucky winner of a DB2 Express Edition 8.2 Fixpack 7 system. It was installed by someone and now it's mine to manage. How do I go about getting access as a sysadm. I looked at the services and the db2sys is running as Db2express. I don't know much more about it, but logged in as my user account, I can't backup any databases or do any configuration changes via the Control Center.

I read somewhere that I need to be added to a group of some sort. What group (local or domain.)

THanks!

sysadm

there is a config parameter sysadm group
adding a user to a specific group and changing the config parameter to this group, will grant sysadm to this windows group
dba authority can be granted with grant command
all users and groups are o/s handled and can not be defined in db2.
have a look at online info center and look for sysadm

Thanks

Got it. Added a windows group to sys_adm. That should take care of it, but requires a stop/restart which I can't do very easily.
THanks again.
