Hi all:

My env. is:
DB2 v8.1.8.913 (v8.2)
Wndows 2003 Server.

When I try to run Configuration Advisor I am getting DBA1107 error, with no further information. What should I check?
Anyone been through this before?....Any idea?.

advis..

maybe a db2 trace could reveal the error (I would do this anyhow)
db2trc on -f xxxxx
problem
db2trc off
db2trc fmt xxxxx yyyy
it seems to be a strange error with no clear cause....

You need to start the DAS before you proceed. Login with the DAS user and run db2admin start. Then you can do it.

On Windows there is no need of login in with das user - this is only required on Linux/Unix on Windows there should be DB2 Administration service started.
But I don't think DAS is needed to start Configuration Assistent.

francis01, it is probably so rare situation, because you people are having installed fixapacks. I think there is some bug, try installing some fixpack from:
IBM - Fixes by version for DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows
