Event Monitors

I deactived a deadlock event monitor and removed all it files. When I reactived the event monitor it created 00000003.evt in the write directory. I expected it to create 00000000.evt. When I enter "db2evmon -db dbliq001 -evm deadlock" to read its looks for 00000000.evt. Why don't it read from the file it created? How can I get it to create 00000000.evt?
