How to convert Integer to Varchar in Db2

I want to convert Integer value to Varchar in DB2 How to do it.
Please help thanks in advance

varchar

if it is for a select then :
select varchar(colname,25)
if for permanent then
export ... select varchar(colname,xxx) ......
drop table/create table with varchar column
import/load data back to table
