SQL30081N on Windows

I recently installed DB2 version 8 fixpak 13 for Windows on our test server. I migrated a couple of test databases from version 7 to the current level. No issues incountered and data looks good. When I connect remotely to one of these version 8 databases and let the connection sit idle for more than 3 minutes, the database connection gets dropped and I get the following error message:

40003(-30081)[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/NT] SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. Communication protocol being used: "TCP/IP". Communication API being used: "SOCKETS". Location where the error was detected: "10.242.90.130". Communication function detecting the error: "recv". Protocol specific error code(s): "*", "*", "0". SQLSTATE=08001

Any suggestions on how to resolve this?
