Iam new to this Forum,
I have installed DB2 8.2.3 in RHEL 4 Machine and i was able to create a instance , whenever iam trying to access the db2 as a different user iam getting this message . Please help

SQL10007N Message "-1390" could not be retrieved. Reason code: "3".

this other user - has not the db2 environment enabled
you can create an environment for this user
db2icrt ... (from root and create client instance
he will get the correct mapping and link to sqllib.....
