Restoring 64-bit database backup into 32-bit instance

Hi Folks,

I've got 2 DB2 V8 FP10 running on 2 AIX 5.2 boxes.

Machine 1 has a 64-bit instance, at which the backup image was created.

Machine 2 has a 32-bit instance. This machine is the target machine, on which I want to perform the restore.

According to IBM DB2's V8 documentation, from FP9 on, that kind of restore would be possible. But I keep getting an error -5130.

Have any of you tried to restore a 64-bit backup image into a 32-bit instance?

What was the outcome?

Thanks in advance.
Fernando Ohana.

After posting this thread I found the answer to the problem. It's actually a program error first fixed in Version 8 FP 14.

Here's the link to the IBM DB2 APAR Page:

Hope this helps
