Extending containers with SAP....rebalancing?
Hey,

DB2 8.2 on AIX

I'm wondering if there is any issue with extending containers via SAP. When it is done it warns that rebalancing will not be done, but since the existing containers (actually there is often only one per tablespace) are merely being extended we're not adding new ones is that going to be an issue?

Unless the containers of the tablespace are of different sizes, rebalancing does not occur when extending.

If they are of different sizes, rebalance can occur based on the high water mark.
