Safe to PRUNE "leftover" logs?

DB2 8.2 AIX for SAP
I'm investigating the space usage in the log_file directory. There are 20 Primary logfiels defined and I see those in directory but I alos see some older out of sequence logfiles from about a month ago. Now we are using TSM for backup adn log archiving. I've looked in the History file and the db2diag and it looks like these files have been sucessfuly archived, but I don't know where/how to visually verify their existence as I assume they are on a tape somewhere.

Here is some relevant CFG info:

Code:
User exit for logging status = YES
Number of primary log files (LOGPRIMARY) = 20
Number of secondary log files (LOGSECOND) = 40
Path to log files = /db2/GM1/log_dir/NODE0000/
 Overflow log path (OVERFLOWLOGPATH) =
 Mirror log path (MIRRORLOGPATH) =
First active log file = S0003189.LOG
Block log on disk full (BLK_LOG_DSK_FUL) = NO
Num. of active log files for 1 active UOW(NUM_LOG_SPAN) = 0
Percent log file reclaimed before soft chckpt (SOFTMAX) = 300
User exit for logging enabled (USEREXIT) = OFF
HADR log write synchronization mode (HADR_SYNCMODE) = NEARSYNC
 First log archive method (LOGARCHMETH1) = VENDOR:/usr/tivoli/tsm/tdp_r3/db264/libtdpdb264.a
 Options for logarchmeth1 (LOGARCHOPT1) =
Second log archive method (LOGARCHMETH2) = OFF
 Options for logarchmeth2 (LOGARCHOPT2) =
Failover log archive path (FAILARCHPATH) =
Number of log archive retries on error (NUMARCHRETRY) = 5

My question, is it safe to PRUNE these files since I can't verify they are in an archive somewhere?

Hi,
try this out:
Code:
db2 get db cfg for databas_name | grep "First active log file"
As seen from you sample data the result should be: S0003189.LOG
Hope this helps,
Grofaty
