DB2 Error

Hi all,

I am getting the following error frequently.

Jan 29 09:06:21 mopdfcp1 RSA [ DB2BACKUP ]: CRITICAL -[ MFC01P1 : db2 backup database MFC01P1 incremental use
tsm RC=8 ]
DB21018E A system error occurred. The command line processor could not
continue processing.

also the day befor day i got the similar error in another sever as


Jan 24 03:48:56 mopdmi02 RSA [ DB2BACKUP ]: CRITICAL -[ MAI01P1 : db2 deactivate database MAI01P1 RC=8 ]

continue processing.


we are using DB2 version 8.1 and Fixpak 6.

i am not able to get the root cause of the error and the solution.

any help.....

Check db2diag.log for error messages.

There is no error specified in the DB2 diag.log

i think that you execute a backup offline when the DB is active...try
db2 deactivate database <dbname> and after execute backup

Hi ,

As per the script, the database is backed up after the deactivate command.
