Hi,

I get the following error when trying to view tablespaces in control center.
after installing Alternate fixpack and upgrading from UDB 8.1 FP6 (AIX) to
UDB 8.1 FP13.

[IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/6000] SQL0444N Routine "*GET_TBSP"
(specific name "SNAP_GET_TBSP") is implemented with code in
library or path "...ib/bin/routine/db2dbroutext", function
"snap_get_tbsp" which cannot be accessed. Reason code: "5".
SQLSTATE=42724

Is there anyone who can assist please. My searches thus far has been to no avail.

Have you properly upgraded your instance and run the "db2updv8" tool as the FixPak readme tells you to do?

I could imagine that you did not properly applied all steps for the FP upgrade and, therefore, an old version of the library "db2dbroutext" exists in your sqllib/function/ directory, which is now causing problems.

p.s: Any reason why you are not moving to the latest FP (FP14) right away?

have u done db2updv8 after applying FP
and bind necessary bind files on each DB

Just to set the record straight.

I've done the db2updv8, I've binded all my utilities, client, schema etc.

The db2routext was definitely updated since the timestamp on the file was that of the upgrade date.
The server has been rebooted.
I rebinded all pakages again just incase.
I have one more question though, the tools tables that was created on the old version would that apply to the new version or are there additional tools tables that need to be created.
