SQL6031N Error in the db2nodes.cfg file at line number "0". Reason code 11

Hello,

I installed DB2 8.2 on HP Server when NIS was disabled.
Now when I enable the NIS and try to do any kind of operation on db2 i am getting error "SQL6031N Error in the db2nodes.cfg file at line number "0". Reason code 11"

When I disable NIS, it start to work again.

Please help me to understand the problem.

Kishor

For above problem I have checked /etc/services and my svcename parameter. Both are pointing to same service.

Also check that DHCP or something doesn't change your hostname - or if it does that it is the same hostname as in db2nodes.cfg.

After enabling NIS, Server hostname is same as db2nodes.cfg. So i don't think hostname is creating problem.

Is it possible to use IP address in db2nodes.cfg file?

Thanks,

Kishor
