I would like to get automatic notification , when my instance crashed , either by email or pager.

IN what way i can set it up ? Does DB2FM can help in that case.

with the db2diag function you can monitor the db2diag.log at regular interval
there is a specific message when instance is down..
you could setup db2fmcd/db2fm to restart the instance.
