Standby in DB2

Dear All,

I am new to DB2. I want to maintain a standby database for my DB2 database. I don't know what is the exact word for this. Please help me to get the good material with example.

Thanks in advance

Mahi,
"Standby database" is the correct term. What differs in the methodology in actually getting what you want. One method is called "Split mirror". One uses a method called "log shipping". Some sites use DB2's Replication. Others use an active/standy cluster approach. Alot of how you do setup a standby database depends on your particular needs, your resources, and of course money.

Like I said, there are several ways to do this.

Info on "Split Mirror":

Info on "Log Shipping":

There is lots of stuff on "replication", use the search at:

You can use the site above to find stuff on Clustering also.

I would look at HADR, which available for free with Enterprise Edition, and extra charge for Workgroup and Express Editions.
