Can you please clarify regarding autoextend for tablespace.

There is already a shell script written [by previous dba] for auto-extension of tablespaces. When i run a
"ps -ef| grep autoextendtbs.sh" i find the autoextension script is running.

But when i check the "get snapshot for tablespace on <dbname>" i find the "Auto-resize enable" option said to be "No".

I understand the Auto-resize enable is for autoextension of the tablespaces. If iam wrong, please correct me.

The question arises because, the users keep asking me to extend tablespaces whenever they get error mentioning.. "no space in particular tablespace, need to extend the same".
