Looking at the long message text for SQL30020, I found:
Quote:
Reason code 124C indicates that the DRDA data stream for the
request contains a syntax error.
So whoever is handling the DRDA protocol at the client side seems to have a different understanding that the DB2 server.

Since you haven't told us anything about your environment and whch component generates the DRDA packages, I don't see how we could give you any suggestion.

Hi,

I did mention about the env:

The OS is AIX Version 5.2
DB2 version 8.2 FixPak 7a

I am sorry I am not very faimilar with DRDA protocal. What do you mean by 'which component generated DRDA package' ?

Thanks,

Anks

Do you use the regular DB2 client or some other tool to talk to DB2? If it is the DB2 client, is it also at FP7a level?
Have you tried applying the latest FP? (FP14 is current.)

Yes, we use Db2 client and thats also running on Fixpak 7a. I think an upgrade is not an option right now. Is there anything else that can be done.

Thanks
ANks
