Confused?????

I would appreciate any help that can be provided.

Issue: I have a Red Hat AS 4.0 system with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler installed. As installed is DB2 8.1 for TWS. For some odd reason one of more of the db2 process is doing anonymous queries to an LDAP system I have on the network. The host DB2 is installed on is setup to for user account authentication against LDAP and it appears DB2 is somehow using various LDAP config files like /etc/ldap.conf to query my LDAP system for the dasusr1 and db2inst1 IDs. This is happening every 10 seconds. I was able to strace the db2dasrrm process and could see it opening the /etc/ldap.conf file, binding to the LDAP server but I don't see it specifically querying for those ID's. I am trying to find out if by default db2dasrrm or DB2 in general has something turned on the looks for /etc/ldap.conf or what. I am not a DB2 person but would like to know why it querying my LDAP system every 10 seconds.
