Question confusion regarding SQL Replication

suppose today is 10th and my Primary DB crashed
and i am having last offline image of Primary DB , say of 7th. of a month.
now i have restored my SRC DB with the image of 7th. , however my target DB is still running as it is.
now Dont we will be having a mismatch,
there maybe some data which is present in target DB(10th) which is not present in Source(7th)
how will DB2 cope with this situation
does it means that wheneven i m restoring the Source, i have to restore target also ??

what in case of restore from Online backup images ?

hope my question is clear

if the target is a replica of source - to get them in synch is start a coldstart of capture and target will be refreshed
or restore the same db - start capture and start offline sync from replication center to reset the subscriptiption. as done is in sync no export import is needed
