regarding use of two db's

Hello friends,

In my application, we are currently using single data base for all tasks (like... reports, transactions, orders... etc.)(Db am using: IBM db2 UDB V8.1). Wright now we are thinking to use two db’s: one for reports and another for remaining things..... Here my doubt is... how extent it is possible to maintain two db with IBM db2 for single application (java application)....

Can any one please clear my doubt.... plz don't ignore this....
