SQL1041N maximum databases already started

Hi,

DB2 UDB V8.1 fixpak 8a Workgroup server edition on Windows 2003

I have 4 local databases in instance. When i am trying to activate or connect to 4th database i am getting the following error.

SQL1041N The maximum number of concurrent databases have already
been started.

I have only 3 active databases at that time.( list active databases). And NUMDB dbm cfg is 4. (get dbm cfg show detail showing 4 for both current and pending). Not sure where its going wrong.

Do you have some suggestions ?

Thanks
Ramesh

Hi,
if I remember correctly default value for NUMDB is 8. Why did you change this parameter? If you need more databases active at the same time then increase NUMDB parameter.

If you thing this is a bug, then report problem to IBM. But before that you may look into bug list if this problem is not already solved.

Hope this helps,
Grofaty
