Auto starting db2 instance
UDB v8.2 FP10 OS : AIX/SOL /Linux

All-

I need to set up the db2 instances for the following things. But i don't know how to do it.

1. How to automatically start the db2 instance when we boot up the AIX/Solaris servers.

2. How do i monitor whether my instance was down or not. And how do i get notified when it is down.

I need to set up the above two , could some one please help me with necessary information.

Read about DB2 Fault Monitor and the db2iauto command.
