Hi,
While trying to configure db2 client on Windows, getting the following error

SQL1038C An I/O error occured while accessing the node directory. SQLSTATE=58031

DB2 Client information
=================
Level B2 v8.1.7.664
OS : Windows XP Professional

DB2 Server:
=========
DB2 On : AIX Version : DB2/6000 8.2.7

Tried various methods, like un-installing DB2 client and then re-installing. Giving complete permissions to the DB2 directory to myself (I'm not the admin of my local system) after installation and before configuring. Deleting the SQLNODIR and then trying to configure.

Nothing worked. This is helding up my work.. Need quick resolution ASAP.

when did this error occured -have a look at db2diag.log
are you local administrator on this machine ? do you have all rights as described for this user
